Our Faerie loose smudge is great to burn when wanting to communicate to the Fae or during your Beltane and/or Litha celebrations. You can purchase them just as they are shown and burn them in any type of charcoal safe smudge container you may have. We here at Wicked House offer many choices in smudge like containers to burn in. etc, if you don't have one of your own.
Early man began to notice that aromatic smoke was produced by burning dried plants like herbs, roots, barks, and resins. By burning these plants you were changing their physical form. (of this world) They are changed by the Element of Fire into smoke (Spirit World Form)
There are two types of Smudging: 1) Smudging with a smudge bowl or shell with appropriate herbs directly lit or burned on a charcoal disk (loose herbs)
2) Smudging is also done with herbs that are tied together in bundles called Smudge Sticks.~
~In either case the smoke is washed over the body (person) or object with a feather or by fanning the smoke with your hand~
REMEMBER to Always remember to burn your charcoal incense in a heat proof container like a smudge pot or incense or cauldron. Our incense is great to burn inside our Mini Cast Iron Cauldron.
