Our Lughnasadh/Lammas: Feast
For our table, I created this centerpiece to represent the corn maiden. Her base was an acrylic body of a woman.
I created her clothing out of mostly nature. I used pods, jute, wheat, corn and leaves. I added a few silk flower petals to finish off her look.
Our floral arrangements were dried grains. We used fresh baked breads and our parchment candleholders. I added in the crows to compliment our black serving cauldron pieces.
For our appetizers, we served toasted breads with white sweet cheddar cheese; garnished with blackberries, peaches and apple slices, which complimented our summer Heirloom tomato pesto salad.
Our main dish; we roasted on the grill a melody of fresh vegetables.
For our dessert, we made a mini Rhubarb crisp served with a homemade vanilla Ice cream; garnished with a handmade crow sugar cookie.
It was a beautiful day to share at Wicked House.
Much Love and Blessings to All!
