Rowan Protection Altar Charms for Samhain

The Rowan has a reputation

of it's protective properties. The Wood and Berries are used in magic and the living tree itself is believed to be a blessing. It is the tree of the Faerie Realm and a Protector of the Dead.

The wood of the Rowan can make for a great talisman and the crushed leaves make for a great protection incense which we use in our Protection Incense in our shoppe (great for working with spirit type spells or rituals)

Taking the berries and making them into garlands, necklaces or altar charms made this a great project for today. For the weaver of the Rowan berries will give them protection from all sorts of negative influences, and protection from bad spirits. They will enhance intuitive and psychic abilities and give you insight into the Faerie Realm.

Everyone seemed to enjoy this project and we will incorporate them into our Spirit work later on this evening. Blessed Be!
